Rohan Raj Barua is a co-founder at Expand My Business, India's first dedicated B2B Service Procurement Platform. With over 5 years of relevant experience in the field, Rohan is passionate about changing the way companies have been doing business in the past by adding transparency and trust. He is ambitious about implementing and applying modern technology for new ideas and value add to existing businesses. At Expand My Business, Rohan is responsible for leading the company's mission to make procurement easy from qualified tech partners varying from "small teams" to "public-listed" companies. He believes that India holds one of the best talent pools for cost-effective and skilled professionals around the globe, which is why a lot of international companies have their backend offices in India. Rohan's journey so far has been an exciting one. He realized that there was a huge gap in the market if someone needed to put their business online, and the IT industry was cluttered with issues pertaining to quality and delivery of projects. This led him to co-found Expand My Business, which is backed by India's top VC's and seasoned Angel Investors like Mr. Bharat Shah, Chairman of HDFC Securities. The platform helps young entrepreneurs and business owners make an online presence in the market by finding the right vendors for website, app development, digital marketing, logo designing, influencer marketing, video designing, resource augmentation, and many more. Prior to co-founding Expand My Business, Rohan worked as a Footwear Associate at Adidas and as a Teaching Assistant at Edforall. He assisted and brainstormed in selecting patterns and materials for different types of shoes, conducted comparative market research against competitors in the anticipations of entering a new market, and designed courses and extra-curricular activities for underprivileged children enabling cognitive thinking within them. Rohan holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from VIT and completed his IB in Science and Economics from Pathways World School. He also completed his MYP from UWC South East Asia and attended The Shri Ram School. His tech stack includes Backend and Research Scientist.
